Mercado Tlacolula I

A mechanical breakdown in July 2011 led Diego Huerta on a journey between 2012 and 2019 across all eight regions of the State of Oaxaca, capturing the essence of each area.

From remote, hidden settlements like Río Venado, home to the Triqui people, to places like Tlacolula de Matamoros, site of the largest indigenous popular market in Latin America, these locations come together in the Inside Oaxaca collection.

Diego’s journey began in 2012 with a visit to Ciudad Ixtepec in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. Deeply inspired by a land rich in magic and color, he returned more than eight times, an experience that later led him to direct the first documentary dedicated to the Tehuana woman.

Central Valleys, Coast, Northern and Southern Sierra, Mixteca, Cañada, Papaloapan, and the Isthmus of Tehuantepec: 570 municipalities representing the largest Indigenous presence in Mexico, alongside a cultural, architectural, and culinary heritage recognized worldwide.

All of this is Oaxaca.

HOW FAST ARE ORDERS FULFILLED?

Poster prints ship out quickly- often within five business days after the order is placed. Edition prints are overseen by Diego and make take longer. You will receive a shipping notification and tracking information via email once the print leaves. Please note that if Diego is traveling on an assignment at the time of your order, you order will be fulfilled upon his return. We will do our best to notify you if there will be a delay in shipping due to his absence.

SPECIAL EDITION PRINTS: WHAT IS YOUR PRINTING PROCESS?

Special edition prints are personally overseen and signed by Diego himself. Both the signature and edition number is written in indelible ink. We carefully catalogue each sale alongside the brick and mortar galleries that display Diego's work, and after an edition runs out, we do not print any more, which preserves the value. We use museum quality archival paper and ink and pack them for shipping with the highest care. We are a very small operation in which you can expect the highest quality print possible.

CAN I REQUEST A SPECIAL EDITION PRINT?

Yes. If your favorite photograph isn’t shown in the store, please use the request form. We will contact you personally to discuss your print request. Please be aware that this request form is for edition prints only, and not for poster prints.

CAN DIEGO SIGN A POSTER PRINT?

Unfortunately- no. While the printing process for posters has been inspected by Diego to ensure quality and color matching, these items are fulfilled automatically and can not be individually signed. Only edition prints are individually signed by Diego.

DOES THE PRINTS ARE FRAMED?

No. For logistic and coast we recommend to frame it on your own local frame store.
